About The Position

CACI is seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to join their team supporting NUWC for the Department of Defense. This role involves leveraging best practices in Systems Engineering and Rapid Prototyping to integrate and deliver state-of-the-art capabilities for the nation's warfighters. The position requires directing a matrixed technical team, including SMEs and technical personnel, to develop, design, document, implement, and manage large-scale projects. The Logistics Lead will be responsible for managing projects executed by CACI and its sub-vendors, ensuring effective management of cost, schedule, and performance. The role operates within a culture of innovation, requiring adaptability and constructive collaboration with a diverse and geographically separated team.

Requirements

  • An Active Secret Clearance
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in STEM major or business/accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a position requiring project management / logistics expertise
  • Experience in logistics management in the DOD
  • Active minimum Secret clearance
  • Excellent technical writing and data presentation skills
  • Track record of complex problem-solving aptitude

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of specific projects and procurements.
  • Leading a team of procurement professionals.
  • Ensuring technical and financial solutions, along with project schedules, are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing the organization, direction, and coordination of all activities associated with assigned procurement projects.
  • Managing delivery orders on IAC MAC Task Orders.
  • Demonstrating competent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ensuring quality products and services are delivered to the customer.
  • Overseeing project management, execution, and reporting to the Program Manager.
  • Gathering and distributing information to subcontractors and service providers.
  • Initiating, preparing, reviewing, and tracking RFIs.
  • Managing the status of submittals.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly owner project status reports.
  • Attending project meetings as assigned.
  • Project coordination and Document Control.
  • Assisting in project close out.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between CACI and the DoD customer for assigned project(s).
  • Providing project and technical guidance.
  • Managing technical staff.
  • Providing financial management for assigned project(s).
  • Responsible for the acquisition of services, materials, and supplies for assigned projects.
  • Performing market research analysis of materials and resources.
  • Developing and revising rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates.
  • Providing current and historical data for the acquisition of goods and services.
  • Identifying project requirements including justification write-ups, sole-source recommendations, and technical evaluations.
  • Maintaining records of purchased materials and services by tracking purchase date, lead time, and cost.
  • Providing monthly reports to the customer.
  • Closely monitoring project team performance, including vendors, to ensure timely delivery of materials and parts and that the end product meets customer needs.
  • Collaborating with the program manager to achieve socioeconomic goals by contracting small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned companies, and disadvantaged business firms where practical.
  • Responsible for the technical performance of assigned project(s) while assuring product delivery to the customer in accordance with budget and schedule requirements.
  • Conducting in-depth research and technical reviews on topics relating to the management of government furnished property and contractor acquired property.
  • Ensuring assets/material is available in accordance with program requirements.
  • Meeting program schedules.
  • Monitoring and maintaining vendor performance related to quality, scheduling, planning, and acquisition strategy by compiling an up-to-date vendor list with qualified processes and technical skills and abilities.
