CACI is currently looking for experienced Logistic Lead to join our team supporting NUWC for the Department of Defense. Requirements

  • An Active Secret Clearance
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in STEM major or business/accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a position requiring project management / logistics expertise
  • Experience in logistics management in the DOD
  • Active minimum Secret clearance
  • Excellent technical writing and data presentation skills
  • Track record of complex problem-solving aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a logistics position working with NSWC Crane, NUWC or other DOD customers
  • Experience in DoD customer relations and/or project management
  • Experience as Logistics Lead on an IAC MAC or other DOD contract
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall management of specific projects and procurements and leading a team of procurement professionals.
  • Ensure that technical and financial solutions, along with project schedules, are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the organization, direction, and coordination of all activities associated with assigned procurement projects.
  • Manage delivery orders on IAC MAC Task Orders.
  • Demonstrate competent writing and oral communication skills and ensure that quality products and services are delivered to the customer.
  • Leading and managing a team of procurement professionals.
  • Overseeing project management, execution, and reporting to the Program Manager.
  • Gathering and distributing information to subcontractors and service providers, including initiating, preparing, reviewing, and tracking RFIs, and managing the status of submittits.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required.
  • Attend project meetings as assigned.
  • Project coordination and Document Control.
  • Assist in project close out.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CACI and the DoD customer for assigned project(s), providing project and technical guidance, managing technical staff and provide financial management for assigned project(s).
  • Responsible for the acquisition of services, materials and supplies for assigned projects.
  • Working with the program manager, and financial and procurement team, perform market research analysis of materials and resources, develop and revise rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates, and provide current and historical data for the acquisition of goods and services.
  • Supporting the program manager, identify project requirements including justification write-ups, sole-source recommendations and technical evaluations, and maintain records of purchased materials and services by tracking purchase date, lead time and cost, and providing monthly reports to the customer.
  • Closely monitor project team, performance, to include vendors, to ensure that materials and parts will be delivered on time and that the end product will meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with program manager to achieve socioeconomic goals by contracting small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned companies and disadvantaged business firms where practical.
  • Responsible for the technical performance of assigned project(s) while assuring product delivery to the customer in accordance with budget and schedule requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth research and technical reviews on topics relating to management of government furnished property and contractor acquired property.
  • Ensure assets/material is available in accordance with program requirements.
  • Ability to meet program schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain vendor performance related to quality, scheduling, planning and acquisition strategy by compiling an up-to-date vendor list, with qualified processes and technical skills and abilities.
