About The Position

Silvi Materials is seeking a Logistics Intern for a 10–12-week summer 2027 experience in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. The intern will join the Logistics Team and report to the Logistics Director, gaining exposure to logistics in the concrete and construction materials industries. The role includes dispatching drivers to client sites, visiting facilities and customer locations, and learning about concrete mixes and their uses. Silvi Materials is a manufacturer and supplier of concrete products, with operations across Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and North Carolina.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a collegiate program, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Concrete Industry Management, or a similar field.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule based on operational needs, typically 10–12-hour days and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispatching drivers transporting ready-mix concrete, bulk cement, and aggregate.
• Provide customer service to clients and address issues or concerns.
• Help ensure deliveries are successfully scheduled with drivers.
• Communicate using a two-way radio system.
• Work with Operations, Quality Control, Sales, and other departments.
• Learn different concrete mix types and their best uses.
• Participate in field visits to Silvi plants and client sites.
