About The Position

Silvi Materials is seeking a Logistics Intern for a 10–12-week summer 2027 experience in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. The intern will join the Logistics Team and report to the Logistics Director, gaining exposure to logistics in the concrete and construction materials industry. The role includes dispatching drivers who deliver ready-mix concrete, bulk cement, and aggregate; supporting customer service and successful scheduled deliveries; communicating with drivers via a two-way radio system; collaborating with Operations, Quality Control, and Sales; learning about concrete mix types and uses; and visiting Silvi plants and client sites.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a collegiate program, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Concrete Industry Management, or a similar field.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule based on operational needs, typically 10–12-hour days and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispatching drivers delivering ready-mix concrete, bulk cement, and aggregate.
• Provide customer service to clients and address issues or concerns.
• Help ensure successful scheduled deliveries with drivers.
• Communicate with drivers using a two-way radio system.
• Work with the Operations, Quality Control, and Sales departments.
• Learn about different concrete mix types and their best uses.
• Visit Silvi plants and client sites.
