About The Position

Serve as a brand ambassador by providing excellent customer service while delivering customer orders to their homes. Drive a company delivery vehicle safely and efficiently in accordance with Kroger’s driving standards. Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must annually pass a DOT-regulated medical exam.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device.
Good driving record.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Any delivery driver experience.
Any customer service experience.
A chauffeur's license may be required in some states.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service while delivering orders to customers.
Act as a brand ambassador when discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers.
Maintain a high degree of professionalism and personal presentation when interacting with customers.
Drive a company vehicle safely and in accordance with Kroger's driving standards.
Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition, resolving issues that arise.
Communicate with customers while en route about issues or delivery changes, following Kroger delivery standards.
Control and maintain accurate records of customer deliveries.
Assist fellow drivers who encounter difficulties while delivering.
Keep goods within required temperature guidelines; monitor and record temperatures in accordance with food health and safety regulations.
Handle products safely and according to food safety guidelines; record serious breakages or contamination issues and report them to a supervisor.
Complete a pre-use inspection of the company vehicle and report defects to a supervisor.
Operate company-provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction.
