About The Position

This role is responsible for managing daily receiving and shipping assignments, as well as fulfilling tasks assigned by management. The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations within the logistics and transportation department, including compliance with national and international regulations, inventory management, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Regularly required to stand or sit for long periods.
  • Duties will include long periods of viewing a computer monitor.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
  • Systematic knowledge relating to TS16949 quality management system.
  • Various methods and tools of six Sigma.
  • Systematic knowledge about 5S and project management.
  • Improve field management level and the level of the department and the staff by using 5S knowledge.
  • Analyze and solve problems (SPC, FMEA, MSA) by using six Sigma methods and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide requirements of what to stage for shipments to Dock personnel.
  • Monitor Customer EDI transmissions for shipment requirements when discrepancies occur.
  • Visually inspect staged products for any quality or quantity discrepancies. Ensure proper containers for customer are used.
  • Communicate to the EDI team/Production all customer requirements including any pull-ahead orders for expedited shipments and shortages for shipments.
  • Ensure all ASNs are transmitted after trucks leave. Ensure all loads leave on the correct truck for customer. Send the Bill of Lading with trucks and save copy for shipping dock.
  • Ensure PLEX transactions are updated.
  • Document any missed shipments and spills and assist Shipping Supervisor in completing 5 Why.
  • Responsible for health and safety within every operation, Perform 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
  • As Logistics & Import/Export Compliance Lead is responsible for the strategic management of the scheduling, monitoring and administration of outbound and inbound shipments along with ensuring the Fuyao is in compliance with governmental entities’ laws, rules and regulations both nationally and internationally.
  • Responsible for establishing and auditing processes and systems to assure company remains in compliance as laws, regulations and international conditions change.
  • Responsible for China glass and WIP glass receiving, loading/unloading empty racks, shipping, storage goods and understanding inventory management, collecting and evaluating the issues for daily cycle counting.
  • Responsible for managing and controlling for receiving-shipping of raw materials/Chemical materials/finished goods, improving inventory accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Management for materials' FIFO, according to the production date/storage time required by the Process/life cycle of A/B type materials, strictly implement the FIFO.
  • Execute inventory plan and check inventory difference and reason.
  • Responsible for training new employees to grasp knowledge and job skills.
  • Fulfill assignments/tasks given by Supervisor or Manager.
