B Shift - Logistics Coordinator

About The Position

This role is responsible for generating bills of lading and other necessary shipment documents, performing data entry for orders, arranging daily carrier pickups, maintaining departmental records, processing freight claims, and communicating with all departments. The position also involves departmental reporting.

Requirements

  • 2 year degree from an accredited University/College
  • 3 to 4 years minimum experience in Logistics
  • Microsoft Office applications, emphasis on Excel
  • SAP Experience a plus
  • Accounting experience in Invoicing
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with peers, managers, and directors, and to present to groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Values and considers the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties.
  • Ability to apply mathematical calculations
  • Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands fingers and eyes; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear up to 95% of the day.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Bills of Lading.
  • Contact Carriers for shipments
  • Export Shipping Documentation
  • Communication with all departments
  • Billing as needed in NAMAS /SAP
  • Export Invoice Processing
  • Custom Duties/Taxes/ NAFTA
  • Follow procedures and filing Documents/Record Keeping
  • Must handle multiple tasks on a daily basis
  • Projects as assigned
