About The Position

The ENERGY Transportation Group is currently looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to its LaSalle team. This is an in-office position. Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, you will be making quick decisions while building a network of carriers to service our client's accounts; making sure their freight is picked up and delivered on time across North America, 24/7/365. In this role, you will work closely with the Customer Service department and our North American vendors.

Requirements

Experience within a 3PL brokerage/transportation environment is an asset, but not required.
Impressive negotiation skills, strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Quick learner who is successful at multi-tasking
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
Fluency in French and English, oral and written, is required (since we do business with clients based in Canada and the United States, knowledge of both languages is not only important but a major asset for us).

Responsibilities

Source and procure carrier services to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of customer freight.
Ensure that the system is updated with the most accurate information on our carrier base.
Negotiate with carriers to maximize profitability of loads consigned to ENERGY.
Monitor service providers to ensure that company and customer service requirements are being met.
Develop and grow core/key carriers to provide additional capacity.
Identify service and cost improvement opportunities and synergies, such as dedicated operations and continuous movement.
Act as a facilitator for carrier problem resolution in regards to claims, payments or other business issues.
