The Logistics Coordinator provides semi-complex clerical and operational support to logistics management, including data entry, recurring SAP and receiving transactions, filing, and coordinating documentation and paper flow. The role responds to inquiries about logistics documentation, production orders, and receiving instructions; maintains records of materials received or kitted; enters data into logistics systems; and prepares charts and reports from logistics databases. It also participates in regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and supports import documentation by maintaining receiving records such as bills of lading, pro forma and commercial invoices, country-of-origin certificates, and other customs documents. The coordinator interprets documented logistics rules, practices, and instructions with some independence and addresses problems that are not highly difficult or complex. The position reports to the Logistics Manager and receives day-to-day operational direction from Logistics Supervisors. It coordinates inbound parcel, air freight, LTL, and truckload shipments; monitors internal and external water levels; reviews and updates sequencing; works with Supervisors and Foremen to investigate discrepancies; and helps ensure items are properly kitted and production orders are completed on time.
