About The Position

When you join our team as a Logistics Coordinator, Truck, you will be responsible for logistics and freight management for Interfor’s three sawmill operations in the US Northwest and three sawmill operations in the BC Interior, servicing the North American market. This role is based on-site at the Interfor Head Office located at Metrotower II, 1600-4720 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5H 4N2.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in truck transportation and logistics within a manufacturing environment
  • Degree in Logistics, Business Administration or related field
  • Proficient in MS Office, TMS, ERP, BI systems and comfortable participating in video meetings with camera on
  • Strong communicator and problem solver with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate trucking capacity by sourcing carriers, providing rate quotes, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date pricing
  • Manage carrier relationships and setup, including onboarding new vendors and maintaining compliance
  • Oversee freight operations by scheduling mill deliveries, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting invoice approvals
  • Track and report key transportation metrics, including fuel prices, surcharges, and monthly rate updates for vendors and mills
