We are currently seeking a Co-Op student to join our Logistics team. We are looking for a student who is available beginning in the Fall term for a duration of 12 months. This position is 100% in-person at the job site located at 84 Orenda Road in Brampton, Ontario. We appreciate all interest in IKO Industries Ltd. and this position, however, only students will be considered for this role. This is a paid position offering an hourly salary between $22.50-$25.50 per hour.

Requirements

Current student or recent grad from a Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain program.
Results oriented, strong desire to drive improvement.
Clear communicator, ability to lead discussions with large groups.
Strong problem solving and planning skills to ensure creation and execution of tactical plan.
Ability to negotiate and ask tough questions to get the right results.
Desire, willingness, and capacity to learn.
Strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

Drive the daily execution of the IKO logistics routine to meet established KPI goals.
Daily/Weekly dispatch of loads and aligning to commitments made with area logistics leads.
Ensuring accountability through routine follow-up
Planning for success inside tactical window
Working closely with plant shipping leads and customer service team to execute the aligned plan on a daily basis.
Expected multiple communication points daily with key contacts both verbal and written.
Build relationships with counterparts at carrier partners to improve the outlook for IKO.
Expediting and follow-up on all pick-up and delivery in service areas
