About The Position

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for various duties related to shipping, receiving, and general office support within a warehouse environment. This role involves creating picklists, determining shipment methods, preparing and shipping items, and maintaining office and shipping supplies. The position also requires excellent customer service, communication, and administrative skills. Requirements

  • High School/General Education Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of general office or shipping/receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full-Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Fluent in oral and written communication in English.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft business applications and various reporting software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Pass physical and drug exam.

Responsibilities

  • Creates picklists from Nav, assigns and disperses them to order selectors.
  • Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate and time of shipment.
  • Prepares shipments by assembling paperwork and distribution of paperwork to carriers.
  • Ships items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items.
  • Contacts customer service when customer PO's are not in the system or if they duplicate orders.
  • Reports late inbound or outbound trucks to the company and Manager.
  • Keeps forms, office, and shipping supplies available for the warehouse office.
  • Provides excellent customer service when answering phones, sending messages and helping customers with any problem they may be experiencing.
  • Prints and completes Bill of Ladings.
  • Assists with cycle count inventory and year-end inventory process.
  • Ensures fair, equitable and respectful interactions with coworkers, vendors and customers.
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets common information, reports and other documents.
  • Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or company representatives.
  • Effectively presents information to management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
