Logistics Associate
About The Position
The Logistics Associate coordinates shipment transportation and supports the smooth, accurate movement of goods. The role includes communicating with customers and transportation providers, reviewing shipping documents, arranging special shipments, tracking and resolving errors, preparing bills and invoices, and managing distribution and shipment load plans. The associate also works with compliance, transportation, warehouse, and terminal teams to support shipping and receiving, maintain service quality, and improve supply-chain processes. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST. The position is listed as 40 hours per week with weekly payroll. Salary: $16.00–$18.00.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy.
- Make special shipping arrangements as necessary.
- Track and fix shipping errors.
- Prepare bills and invoices.
- Manage distribution and shipment load plans.
- Ensure services meet required quality standards.
- Develop processes to make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
- Coordinate with compliance, transportation, warehouse, and terminal teams to support smooth shipping and receiving.
