As our new Import Transportation Coordinator , you will be managing and coordinating inbound international and domestic shipments to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of goods from origin through final receipt at our facilities. This position reports directly to our Regional Shipping Operations Leader, Americas North and is based in Brookshire, Texas facility operating daily. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa. The salary range for this position is $53,400USD – 70,555USD. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Brookshire, Texas facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Foreign Trade, International Trade, Supply Chain, or Compliance
  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or import/export customs processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • English proficiency at 80% or higher (written and verbal)
  • SAP experience in logistics or supply chain modules
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import compliance frameworks
  • Experience coordinating multi-modal international freight (ocean, air, rail, truck)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate international and domestic inbound freight via ocean, air, rail, and truck, serving as the primary contact for freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and suppliers
  • Monitor shipment status from origin through final delivery, maintaining accurate tracking and proactively communicating arrivals and delays to planning, procurement, and operations teams
  • Ensure all import documentation—commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading—is complete, accurate, and submitted on time to support customs clearance activities
  • Support compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and government agency requirements, assisting with audits and maintaining import records per Regional Trade Compliance guidelines
  • Coordinate delivery appointments with distribution centers and warehouses to optimize receiving operations
  • Review and validate freight invoices for accuracy and cost alignment
