A Logistics Analyst is responsible for the coordination and oversight of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of safety, customer experience, and productivity. The role involves analyzing daily route information, implementing changes to optimize routing efficiency and accuracy using an internal routing platform, and responding to same-day changes or next-day planning for customer service needs. The analyst will also manage driver safety, evaluate logistics data for decision-making, maintain communication with drivers, and address driver performance issues. Understanding route sequencing, responding to missed pickups, creating routes with maximized capacity, and monitoring daily routing activities are key functions. The position also requires assessing the need for and managing swing routes, determining if service requests can be pulled forward for efficiency, and collaborating with the Operations Manager on disposal plans. Customer interaction, route design for safety and efficiency, and ensuring customer promises are kept are also critical aspects of the role.
