About The Position

The Logistics Analyst II provides materiel fielding and medical liaison support services across the Force Integration Division (FID), Project Manager Soldier Medical Devices (PM SMD) at Fort Detrick, Maryland. The incumbent assists our client by providing Medical Materiel Support to all Army components facilitating optimal healthcare and worldwide medical readiness through; the procurement, assembly, and distribution of Medical Equipment and Medical Materiel Sets, Kits, Outfits (SKOs), the disassembly of previously fielded medical materiel and equipment, the management of excess medical materiel, the provision of disposition instructions, the management of on hand medical materiel inventory, and the provision of technical assistance for medical materiel sustainment operations including training on Army automated logistics systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; equivalent military or professional experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or medical logistics experience.
  • Working knowledge of logistics principles, inventory management practices, distribution operations, and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide sound recommendations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a current valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in equipment fielding and de processing.
  • Experience supporting PM SMD organizations, or medical readiness programs.
  • Experience supporting Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), Unit Deployment Packages (UDP), Medical Materiel Readiness Program (MMRP), or Medical Logistics Support Team (MLST) operations.
  • Knowledge of Class VIII medical materiel management and medical readiness operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other contracted maintenance services.
  • Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSRs)

Responsibilities

  • Provide materiel fielding services across the Force Integration Division (FID), PM SMD at Fort Detrick.
  • Collaborate with the PM SMD and key stakeholder organizations to effectively and efficiently support the medical material readiness of the operational Army through materiel fielding.
  • Evaluate materiel fielding processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, enhance readiness, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, shortages, excess inventory, and potential supply chain risks.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining fielding reports, mission analysis products, readiness assessments, and workload metrics.
  • Provide technical guidance for the de processing, staging, inventory, and hand off of materiel to gaining units.
  • Assist with unloading, organizing, and the movement of all materiel and equipment to appropriate fielding locations and within warehouses, which will require manual lifting.
  • Execute on site Materiel Fielding Transfer Requirements to include all applicable inventory and property transfer documentation.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to other team members, ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols.
  • Monitor and collaborate with other team members to ensure service quality.
  • Collaborate with quality management system elements, other support functions, and customers to meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments.
  • Support supplier development and engagement in coordination with Fielding Coordinators.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain quality metrics that measure system effectiveness and identify trends requiring corrective action.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action when performance does not meet defined requirements.
  • Must clearly communicate and/or simplify complex issues to stakeholders who may not have a technical background.
