About The Position

ESN is seeking a Logistician to perform logistical functions assisting in the development of technical data packages (TDPs). These packages contain electronic parts lists and engineering drawings that will be used for completion of the final tasking product. The selected candidate will demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal, interacting with DoD entities to obtain necessary data and technical information. The role requires ensuring adherence to customer processes by contacting various naval supply (NAVSUP) and electronic equipment systems engineering agents (ISEAs) to acquire technical data. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of technical data, including revision levels and alternative parts, and verifying electronic materials parts data for national stock number (NSN) support. The candidate will research and locate alternative parts for obsolete parts to support assembly repair efforts. Familiarity with DLA FEDMALL, Haystack, Database 360, and Accuris (formerly IHS) is required. The position involves being part of a project team exploring tools to facilitate and automate data accuracy.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
  • MS Office application knowledge, including proficiency in MS Access for compiling parts data.
  • Familiarity with DLA FEDMALL, Haystack, Database 360, and Accuris (formerly IHS).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Naval supply background or experience working within the military environment/industry.
  • Naval Logistics Experience highly desired.
  • Conduct logistical research and life cycle analysis using industry standards such as Open Architectural Retrieval System (OARS), Configuration Data Managers Database Open Architecture (CDMDOA), NAVSUP Inform 21 (Birdtrack), DLA E Mall, Demand History, OneTouch, Logiquest, FEDLOG, SNAPSHOT PMS viewer, and Haystack.
