About The Position

Amentum is currently seeking a Logistic Specialist II to support TALSA West Small Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operators in a DoD environment with warehouse, inventory, and logistics support. This position requires team coordination and communication. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and detail oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, using effective time management and prioritization skills. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) located at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in logistical support.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Government Clearance.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Valid forklift training and certification.
  • Military background.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Transport, Track, maintain inventory, update and maintain status of hardware, equipment, installation kits, and tools with understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
  • Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, organizing storage areas for efficiency including installing shelves and recommend improvements.
  • Examine stored materials, reporting deterioration, and damage.
  • Perform data entry of inventory information in government tracking system.
  • Preparation of reports in accordance with the Group 1 UAS Training and Readiness Manual, Navy Marine Corps (NAVMC) 3500.1079 (series) for all operating SUAS or similar systems.
  • Verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Prepare and package equipment for shipment including generating property transfer paperwork.
  • Ensure equipment calibration certification are maintained and provide recommended corrective actions.
  • Prepare equipment for transport and disposal / demilitarization.
  • Utilize hand or power truck/lift for transporting equipment.
  • Assisting staff with collateral duties in order to maintain a quality training program and provide training support services to a varied audience tasked with employing or managing UAV / UAS assets.
  • May require some travel.
