Monitor and manage the drayage process of shipment movement, including receiving arrival notices, ISF information before port arrival of vessels, creating and sending delivery orders, and managing empty container returns. This role involves managing relationships with selected drayage carriers, communicating urgently in case of emergencies, and searching for alternative carriers when capacity is lacking. The position also requires sharing daily container delivery schedules, analyzing, creating, editing, tracking, and tracing select logistics service providers (LSPs) such as drayage carriers, rail companies, and rail terminals. A key aspect is monitoring and driving improvements to customer service goals, including on-time delivery, product lead-times, and request-for-quote responsiveness. The role also includes finding timely solutions for pre-pull yard usage, reporting monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for drayage deliveries, checking delivery status and sharing updates with customers, and documenting corrective actions and improvement plans while verifying their effectiveness. Ad-hoc reporting and other job-related duties are also part of the responsibilities.
