The Logistics Drayage Management Staff position involves monitoring and managing the drayage process for shipment movements. This includes receiving Arrival Notices, handling ISF information before vessel port arrival, creating and sending delivery orders, and managing empty container returns. The role requires managing relationships with selected drayage carriers, ensuring urgent communication during emergencies, and identifying alternative carriers when capacity is limited. Responsibilities also include sharing daily container delivery schedules with carriers, analyzing, creating, editing, tracking, and tracing various Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) such as drayage carriers, rail companies, and rail terminals. A key focus is to monitor and drive improvements in customer service goals, including on-time delivery, product lead-times, and request-for-quote responsiveness. The staff will also be responsible for finding optimal solutions for pre-pull yard usage, reporting monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for drayage deliveries, checking delivery statuses, communicating with customers, documenting corrective actions and improvement plans, verifying their effectiveness, and performing ad-hoc reporting as required.
