About The Position

The logistics coordinator is responsible for the creation and planning of the daily truck and rail loading plan. The coordinator must work with operations, as outbound needs will dictate production rates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Background in transportation is a must, which includes providing logistics support.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in data entry/customer service.
  • Ability to set goals, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and conflicting objectives.
  • Problem solver and quick/accurate decision maker.
  • Proven ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate high level of proficiency with SAP & Microsoft Office.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work overtime, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize SAP, BluJay truck management software (TMS), and OneWeigh to access order and delivery information.
  • Utilize Microsoft excel for schedule and rate planning.
  • Coordinate truck orders and issues with a variety of carriers through 24/7 phone and email communication.
  • Coordinate truck and rail sales changes and issues through Bunge corporate sales team through 24/7 phone and email communication.
  • Manage daily schedule, schedule changes, and issues with loading operators through 24/7 phone and email communication.
  • Inventory tracking and coordination of refinery byproduct streams with Bunge corporate sales team, customers, and carriers.
  • Coordination and tracking of fluid lecithin truck loads including bill recording and retention, loading log tracking, and communicate with carriers, customer, and Bunge personnel.
  • Utilize BluJay TMS and BPOpen to pay carrier-based invoices such as detention, truck order not used (TONU) fees, and other miscellaneous fees.
  • Communicate with plant rail switch team on daily needs.
  • Communicate loaded rail and rail shipping with Bunge plant personnel, sales team, and lab technicians using a Microsoft excel report.
  • Act as a backup to the Commercial Support Specialist.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
