About The Position
A health system in Petoskey, Michigan, is seeking an experienced Hospitalist for nocturnal hospital coverage beginning December 1. The schedule is seven days on followed by seven days off. The role provides care to a diverse patient population in a supportive environment. The hospital does not have an ICU/CCU. The position uses Cerner EHR for documentation.
Requirements
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Experience with adult inpatient care.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
- Valid Michigan medical license in hand.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- DEA registration; verbal confirmation is required.
- Clean background required for expedited privileging.
Responsibilities
- Provide nocturnal care in a hospital setting.
- Handle an average of 16 patients per day.
- Participate in rounding and interdisciplinary cooperation.
- Assist with coordinating care and managing patient transitions.
- Provide care in the absence of ICU/CCU services.
