Locum NP/PA Radiology
About The Position
This is a locum assignment for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Imaging/Radiology. The contract is for 6 months with an ASAP start, though standard credentialing may take approximately 90 days. The role is 1.0 FTE, with a split of approximately 0.75 outpatient and 0.25 inpatient. The APP will work Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no call. The position is open to two locums working opposite schedules, with both inpatient and outpatient coverage required. The EMR system used is EPIC. The patient population ranges from young adults to the elderly, with an average volume of 8-10 patients per day. The APP will independently perform fluoroscopic studies after training, with radiologic technologists assisting in equipment operation. The APP will provide final interpretations and sign reports, under the oversight of a supervising radiologist who will conduct random chart audits. Training and proctoring are available for credentialing, and candidates missing some procedure requirements may be proctored and signed off.
Requirements
- BLS certification required.
- Must provide a case list documenting at least 100 patients/services representative of requested privileges within the past 24 months.
- At least 5 completed procedures of each required type within the past 24 months.
- Washington license is not currently required due to the anticipated 90-day credentialing timeline, but this may change.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Barium enema single contrast.
- Experience with Barium enema with air.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform fluoroscopic studies after training.
- Provide final interpretations and sign reports.
- Assist with patient care in both inpatient and outpatient imaging settings.
- Collaborate with Speech Pathology for Modified Barium Swallows.
- Undergo training and proctoring for credentialing if necessary.
