About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for an NP/PA in an Adult ICU at a teaching hospital. The role involves providing critical care and medical-surgical support in a 10-bed ICU with an average daily census of 7. The patient population primarily consists of routine ICU and medical-surgical cases, with the possibility of 1-2 burn patients. No procedures are required, such as intubations, central lines, or ventilator management. There are no transplant, complex neurological, EVD, or echocardiography responsibilities.

Requirements

• Board certification in Acute Care with ICU experience.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• DEA registration required.

Nice To Haves

• Active Massachusetts license preferred.
• Candidates without an active Massachusetts license may be considered only if they are PAs willing to apply.
• Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Round with the attending physician in the morning and afternoon.
• Complete patient care tasks and follow-up activities.
• Serve as a responding clinician for ICU patients.
• Provide routine critical care and medical-surgical support.
