Locum Cardiothoracic / Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA)/NP
About The Position
This is a locum position for a Cardiothoracic / Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support a new program and recruit for a permanent position. The role involves assisting in the Operating Room, providing care in the ICU, and seeing patients in the clinic. The primary focus will be on assisting in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery cases, including robotic procedures and vein harvesting. The position requires rounding on post-operative patients in the CTICU and CVICU. Once acclimated, the provider will participate in a 1:6 call rotation.
Requirements
- Board Certified
- American Heart Association certification
- Licensure for Oregon
- Licensure for Washington (for telehealth follow-ups)
- Experience in CT Surgery with robotics (preferred)
- Experience in CV Surgery with vein harvesting and RVH (preferred)

Responsibilities
- First assist in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery cases (1-2 days per week).
- Round on patients in the CTICU and CVICU post-operatively (3-4 days per week).
- Provide care in the Operating Room, ICU, and Clinic settings.
- Participate in a 1:6 call rotation for weekdays and weekends after acclimation.
- Experience with robotics in CT surgery is preferred.
- Experience with vein harvesting and RVH in CV surgery is preferred.
