As a Locum MD in Urology, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions. Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) degree with completed specialization in Urology
  • Valid medical licensure and board certification or eligibility in Urology
  • Associate-level experience in urological clinical practice
  • Proven clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of urological disorders
  • Proficiency in performing urological surgical procedures with a focus on patient safety
  • Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team
  • Excellent documentation, record-keeping, and organizational abilities
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
  • Flexibility to work on a contract basis with on-site presence in Florence

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive urological evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for urological conditions
  • Conduct urological procedures including cystoscopies, biopsies, and minimally invasive surgeries
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and urodynamic evaluations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Provide on-call coverage and timely emergency consultations as required
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient medical records
  • Educate patients and their families on urological health, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Ensure compliance with all medical standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical training activities
