About The Position
This is a contract-based, on-site opportunity for an associate-level physician to deliver high-quality urological care while enjoying the flexibility of a locum tenens assignment within a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Locum Urology physician, you will play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a broad spectrum of urological conditions. Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical institution
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Urology
- Board certification or board eligibility in Urology
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction
- 2+ years of clinical experience in urology, appropriate for an associate-level position
- Proficiency in urological surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical practice environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and ethical medical practice
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and collaborative skills
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive urological consultations, evaluations, and follow-up care for patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including kidney stones, urinary tract infections, prostate disorders, and urological malignancies
- Perform urological procedures and surgeries, including minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and urodynamic studies
- Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, and other medical professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient medical records in accordance with regulatory standards
- Provide on-call coverage and emergency urological care as required
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
