About The Position

Sparrow Lansing Main Hospital is seeking an experienced Physician to join their dedicated Cardiothoracic surgery team. This hospital-based practice prioritizes high-quality patient care with a focus on adult populations. Coverage is needed for a minimum of 2 weeks, with weekday clinic hours followed by on-call responsibilities during nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Proven experience in adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active Michigan medical license (must undergo full application process, not IMLC).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred.
• NPDB self-query copy required (must be pulled within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care in Adult Cardiac Surgery and General Thoracic Surgery.
• Perform procedures such as CABG, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement, Tube Thoracostomy, and more.
• Conduct evaluations and make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in weekend call coverage, averaging one case per weekend.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient records and documentation.
