About The Position
Join our dedicated team in Lincoln, Nebraska, where we are seeking a skilled cardiologist for a locum position at a respected hospital facility. The facility is known for its specialized healthcare services and a strong commitment to patient care. The cardiologist will primarily focus on rounding and consults, as there is no clinic activity involved. Any emergencies or procedures will be referred to the nearby Nebraska Heart Hospital. The position requires proficiency in Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs) and includes night calls and weekend rounding.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Cardiology.
- Experience in hospital settings, preferably with cardiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Active Nebraska Medical License (highly preferred).
- ACLS Certification.
- BLS Certification.
- Current DEA Registration.
- Must have a clean malpractice history (highly preferred).
Nice To Haves
- Available to start upon completion of credentialing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hospital rounds and perform consults for cardiology patients.
- Manage night calls with general availability and responsiveness.
- Perform TEEs as required.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive patient evaluations and care plans.
