About The Position
EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Locksmith, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm, at our National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) project in College Park, Md (NARA II). Local 99 Reports to: Chief operating Engineer #egs
Requirements
- Certified and bonded by both D.C. and the State of Maryland.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English is highly desirable.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Repairing key locksets
- Fabricating and replicating keys
- Opening key locksets
- Installing, performing maintenance, repairing, replacing, removing, opening, and resetting of mechanical, electronic combination cipher locks, electronic card locks, and electronic security systems to include replacing lockset batteries when necessary
- Unlocking buildings, safes, vaults, file cabinets, desks, lockers (with or without combination or key), etc., to gain access when authorized
- Performing improvement, alteration, and adaptation of locking devices and systems.
