ProSync is seeking passionate Security Specialist II to help ensure security and intelligence compliance with policies and regulations, drawing on some of the nation's leading personnel and cybersecurity thought leaders for enhancing, accelerating, and assuring the United States Navy's ability to counter existing and emerging security threats. This position handles the support of the Sensitive Compartment Information Facility. This role includes demonstrated experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) within the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community (IC), showcasing a strong understanding of the intricate interplay between safeguarding personnel, facilities, and sensitive information in a highly regulated environment. Proficiency in managing and implementing alarm and access control systems, ensuring that robust security measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access and respond effectively to potential security breaches. Experience in overseeing and mentoring junior security personnel, providing guidance and support in their professional development, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere, and ensuring that all security protocols and procedures are adhered to with the utmost diligence. Four (4) years of experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) in the DoD or IC. Two years of experience in day-to-day key and lock issues. Help desk tickets related to lock issues associated with doors, security containers, vaults, secure rooms, and cabinet locks, to include installation and repairs. Repairs include adjustments, repairs to related door closing and locking devices, and panic hardware issues. Tracking all combination changes, security containers and vaults (including location, inspection, and maintenance), and medium and high security locks and padlocks. Opening locks which cannot be opened by ordinary means (e.g. manipulation and drilling). Other essential functions include creating duplicate keys, issue keys and locks establishes, expands, or modifies master key code systems. Changes key and cylinder combinations in accordance with changes in the master key system. Keeping related records. Experience with alarm and access control systems. Functional – Ability to obtain GSA certification to conduct any duties associated with GSA approved security containers and vaults. If a proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, eigh (8) years of professional technical activities related to security would be considered equivalent. Four (4) of these eight (8) years should demonstrate experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) in the DoD or IC. A minimum Secret security clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a Top Secret w/ SCI is required to be considered for this position.
