The Locksmith II position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, and testing on all locks, keys, electronic security systems, security detention systems, and life safety systems and components within a correctional facility. This role also involves assisting other technicians with electrical systems and components as needed. The position requires installation, troubleshooting, repair, re-keying, and replacement of locks and hardware, as well as fabrication and accountability of keys and maintenance of key systems. The Locksmith II must ensure security systems are functioning correctly and coordinate with outside contractors when necessary. This role also involves completing maintenance work orders and performing other assigned duties.
