About The Position
Amber is looking for a German LQA Tester to work on-call at their offices in Montreal. Training will be provided for individuals without prior experience. The role involves testing video game titles to identify linguistic, visual, and cultural issues in the localized text across mobile (iOS and Android), PC, and console platforms within a multilingual team of LQA testers. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, spotting errors such as extra spaces, improper phrasing, misspellings, or cultural inaccuracies in the German language.
Requirements
- Native-level language competency in German
- Professional-level language competency in English
- Proof of existing eligibility to work in Canada

Responsibilities
- Testing video game titles and verifying all text, images, and voice-over components in German
- Finding translation, contextual, cultural, and other linguistic errors in video game titles
- Reporting errors in a bug-tracking database and/or translation document in a clear manner
- Providing resolutions for errors reported to improve the linguistic and translated content
- Following and respecting terminology guidelines
- Cross-checking issues between different languages with your team
- Reporting to and following instructions from the Test Lead
- Addressing and escalating problems to the Test Lead
