We are currently seeking a Local Trucking Dispatcher to join our Greensboro operations team. This is a critical role that ensures smooth daily workflow, timely customer service and effective coordination of our drivers and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of dispatching, trucking, or logistics experience (local/regional preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Proficiency with McLeod TMS, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite is Required.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
• Team player with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch local drivers for pick-ups and deliveries in the Greensboro area and surrounding markets.
• Assign loads based on driver availability, equipment type and customer requirements.
• Monitor driver progress through dispatch systems, GPS, and regular communication.
• Serve as the first point of contact for drivers and customers regarding scheduling and last-minute requests.
• Ensure compliance with DOT hours-of-service, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams regarding truck availability and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, load details, and driver communications.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service while representing Highways & Skyways with professionalism.
