About The Position

Novick Corporation is a service-oriented food distribution company in South Philadelphia specializing in childcare nutrition. Route drivers deliver temperature-controlled products on scheduled routes and verify deliveries with clients using a 3-point check system. Drivers are eligible to join the Union and access company-paid benefits, including a fully funded pension plan with vesting after five years of service. Driving and warehouse staff are also invited to company events and activities, including awards meetings, holiday dinners, staff appreciation events, farm volunteer opportunities, raffles, contests, and giveaways.

Deliveries are performed Monday through Friday. The company offers all new drivers a four-day work week. The role requires a current CDL, a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of accident-free driving, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CDL license.
• At least two years of accident-free driving record.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving considerable use of arms, legs, and torso.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently move items weighing up to 200 pounds using a two-wheel hand truck.

Responsibilities

• Deliver various temperature-controlled products on scheduled routes.
• Verify delivery of items with clients through a 3-point check system.
• Communicate interpersonally with clients, be courteous, and help address issues during delivery.
• Drive, climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, balance, and walk as required.
• Repeatedly lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the shift.
• Frequently move items weighing up to 200 pounds with a two-wheel hand truck up and down ramps and in and out of client locations.
