Local CDL-A Reefer Driver: $25-$28.50/Hour, Home Daily – Sacramento, CA
About The Position
This local CDL-A reefer driving role is based out of the Sacramento hub and involves hauling temperature-controlled loads around Sacramento and the Bay Area. Drivers pick up preloaded trailers and deliver them to stores, with live unloads and dock assistance available when needed. Drivers are home every day. Runs start between midnight and 3 a.m.; shifts may be days or nights, and days off fall on weekdays. Schedules are set the day before, so drivers must be ready to adjust. Weekend and holiday work is required. Hourly pay ranges from $25.00 to $28.50 depending on experience, with weekly pay. The average driver earns about $1,500 per week, or approximately $78,000 per year, and some drivers gross more than $2,000 per week. Requirements
- Hold a CDL-A.
- Have at least 1 year of experience, defined as either 6 months of OTR experience within the last 12 months or 12 months of experience within the past 5 years.
- Live within 30 miles of the Sacramento hub.
- Complete urine and hair follicle drug screening.
- Be available for weekend and holiday work.
- Be prepared for schedules set the day before.
