About The Position

Central Transport is hiring a local CDL-A driver for its Brook Park terminal. The Day Local position combines local driving with forklift and dock operations. Drivers work within approximately a 60-mile radius of the terminal and average 8–12 stops per day. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and home-daily work. Typical start time is 8:00 AM, with average shifts of 10–11 hours. Drivers operate newer automatic trucks, including Mack, Peterbilt, and International vehicles.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license.
• Minimum of 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain them within the first 60 days of employment.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• No DUI within the last 5 years and no more than one DUI in a lifetime.
• Stable and consistent work history.
• Successfully pass a DOT drug screen and hair follicle test.

Responsibilities

• Drive locally within approximately a 60-mile radius of the Brook Park terminal.
• Complete an average of 8–12 stops per day.
• Perform forklift and dock operations in addition to driving.
• Operate automatic trucks, including Mack, Peterbilt, and International models.

Benefits

• $32.00 per hour.
• Average weekly pay of $1,600–$1,750 and average annual pay of $85,000–$90,000.
