About The Position

Central Transport is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for Day Local and Night Linehaul opportunities. The role offers home-daily work, consistent LTL freight, and increased pay rates. Day Local drivers work Monday through Friday, typically starting at 8:00 AM, with average shifts of 10–11 hours and approximately 8–12 stops per day. Driving is local, within approximately a 60-mile radius, and combines driving with forklift and dock operations. Drivers operate newer automatic trucks, including Mack, Peterbilt, and International models. Applicants must complete Central Transport’s official application to be considered.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license.
• At least 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain them within the first 60 days of employment.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• No DUI within the last 5 years and no more than 1 DUI in a lifetime.
• Stable and consistent work history.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive locally within approximately a 60-mile radius.
• Complete approximately 8–12 stops per day.
• Perform a combination of driving and forklift or dock operations.
• Operate automatic trucks, including Mack, Peterbilt, and International models.
