About The Position

Central Transport is hiring a day-shift local CDL-A driver for its Brook Park terminal. The role combines local driving with forklift and dock operations. Drivers operate within approximately a 60-mile radius of the terminal and average 8–12 stops per day. The position is home daily, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a typical 8:00 AM start. Shifts average 10–11 hours. Drivers operate newer automatic Mack, Peterbilt, and International trucks.

The posted pay rate is $32.00 per hour, with average weekly pay of $1,600–$1,750 and average annual pay of $85,000–$90,000. Qualified drivers may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Pay is issued weekly by direct deposit.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license.
• At least 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain them within the first 60 days of employment.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• No DUI within the last 5 years and no more than 1 DUI in a lifetime.
• Stable and consistent work history.
• Successfully pass a DOT drug screen and hair follicle test.

Responsibilities

• Drive locally within approximately a 60-mile radius of the Brook Park terminal.
• Make approximately 8–12 stops per day.
• Perform forklift and dock operations in addition to driving.
• Operate automatic trucks, including Mack, Peterbilt, and International equipment.
