About The Position
The DoubleTree by Hilton Huntington, located in downtown Huntington, West Virginia, near Marshall University, has an exciting opportunity for a Lobby & Public Space Houseman/Cleaner. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel's public areas. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, and involves handling guest complaints, cleaning assigned spaces, and restocking supplies. The hotel is managed by Shaner Hotel Group, a leading hospitality company known for its award-winning properties and commitment to professional growth and service excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum one year cleaning experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Responsibilities
- Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintains standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
- Observes all house and safety rules, housekeeping procedures, and security procedures.
- Cleans and services assigned public spaces according to franchise and hotel standards.
- Returns and restocks cart at end of shift.
- Complete additional deep cleaning / seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Clean hotel public areas as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness.
- Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints.
- Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
