About The Position

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is seeking a Part-Time Lobby Bar Server Assistant. This role supports the vibrant and active Lobby Bar, which offers drinks, appetizers, and specialty desserts. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of Food & Beverage experience and a passion for providing exceptional guest service in a luxury environment. The position requires availability on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, with flexibility for weekends and holidays. The resort emphasizes a culture of genuine care, personal and professional growth, and empowering employees to do what is right.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in Food & Beverage
  • One year of experience in an upscale, fine dining establishment preferred
  • One year of OpenTable experience preferred
  • Ability to listen effectively, empathetically and be respectful at all times
  • Ability to communicate assertively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work as a team, stay organized, multi-task, and prioritize
  • A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.
  • High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.
  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday evening availability is required for this role.
  • A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the server in providing an expertly served dining experience
  • Clear and reset tables according to standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line
  • Deliver food to the correct tables and seat numbers while giving an accurate and appealing food description
  • Communicate fluidly with the restaurant chef
  • Assist the department managers with training of new employees as requested
  • Work in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and deliver superior guest service at all times
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests
  • Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome
  • Maintain the safety and security of the restaurant/bar premises
  • Identify guests’ preferences and their personal information: regularity and time of dining, food and drink choice, seat preference, food allergies, special occasion, hotel guests, table position, telephone number, e-mail address, web address, etc.
  • Keep the working environment clean, tidy and presentable
  • Recognize guests, remember the names of the regulars and be in constant communication with managers and reception about the satisfaction of our guests
  • Ensure appropriate language is used when speaking to guests, use guidelines issued during training
  • Accommodate if guests have any special requests or allergies, etc.
  • Perform all assigned duties as detailed in your opening, afternoon and closing checklists
  • Distribute the server’s slips (guest notes) and ensure any updates are given to servers and management promptly
  • Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, equipment, etc.
