Requirements

  • Proven Food and Beverage experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, beverage techniques.
  • Ability to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to bar problems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • The Bar Manager oversees all operations and ensures compliance with all Food and Beverage (F&B) policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Operates all department equipment as needed and reports any malfunctions.
  • Supervises staffing levels to ensure customer service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Develops events with specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Monitors and maintains employee productivity levels.
  • Verifies that all team members/supervisors understand the specific brand philosophy.
  • Maintains the operating budget and ensures legal standards and obligations are met.
  • Assists supervisors in understanding the changing needs and expectations of team members and how to exceed them.
  • Coordinates cleaning programs in all F&B areas (e.g., general cleaning), identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees.
  • Creates and fosters an environment on property that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and a passion for service.
  • Remains readily available and accessible to all team members.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the brand’s specific service culture.
  • Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
  • Manages daily operations, monitors quality and standards, and meets customer expectations daily.
  • Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest and employee concerns.
  • Responds in a timely manner to guest service department requests.
  • Negotiates contracts and manages vendor relationships to optimize costs and quality.
  • Hires, trains, and coaches F&B staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure service excellence.
  • Analyzes sales trends and identifies opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
  • Ensures compliance with food safety regulations and health code standards.
  • Creates new bar menus based on cost with new trends and techniques.
  • Follows all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to manager; and completes safety training and certifications.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to achieve common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
