As a LOB Risk Specialist within PNC's MarCom organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role serves as a central point of coordination for risk management across Marketing, Social Media, and Communications. The primary focus is supporting risk governance, including committee materials, executive reporting, and maintaining alignment of policies and procedures with enterprise frameworks. Success in the role is demonstrated through consistent execution of risk processes, accurate and timely reporting, and full alignment of MarCom-owned policies with required standards and timelines.

Requirements

  • Experience in risk, controls, or governance, preferably within financial services and ideally within PNC
  • Strong organizational capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving, particularly in structured or controlled environments
  • Clear ownership mindset, with the ability to independently drive work to completion
  • Experience supporting risk reporting, governance/committee processes, or policy/procedure management
  • Comfort and/or experience working with data, model, and technology risk to support reporting, tracking, and process management
  • University / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the execution of the Line of Business Risk Management program, identifying opportunities for enhancement where applicable.
  • Under supervision, enables line of business adherence with risk programs.
  • Assists in the design and development of the risk management program to meet business and regulatory expectations.
  • Executes the risk management program within or across the lines of business (e.g. - business self-assessment and quality reviews).
  • Participates in the consultation to execute the program components.
  • Works to develop risk expertise while working with the businesses and other risk partners (e.g., Compliance, Credit, Legal, Audit).
  • Participates in risk initiatives, business as usual activities, ad hoc requests, and identifies risk exposures.
