About The Position

The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for providing prompt and accurate responses to both internal and external customer’s mortgage servicing questions and concerns received by telephone and email. This position communicates regularly with Plaza’s sub-servicer to resolve loan-level issues as well as provide approval/guidance on Loss Mitigation and Foreclosure activity.

Requirements

Customer service experience with telephone exposure is essential
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work
Capability to manage time, multi-task, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with a heavy volume of transactions, as well as ability to meet and handle deadlines
Solid commitment to customer and associate service
Exceptional phone etiquette
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Ability to work in both a team and individual environment
Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office, Internet Browsers, and email functions
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

Experience in loan servicing preferred

Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls to Loan Servicing and Customer Service queues
Acknowledge and/or respond to incoming emails within 24 business hours
Properly document loan specific activity in servicing system.
Follow up and research to resolve loan level issues.
Process incoming mail.
Prepare and mail renovation checks
Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer mortgage assets.
