About The Position

Citizens Bank of Kansas, a fourth-generation family-owned community bank, has a career opportunity for a Loan Servicing Specialist in our Derby Buckner (Kansas) branch. This employee supports the servicing of all closed loans for the Bank. This position ensures best practices in loan servicing efforts are administered across the organization and across all loan types.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in second reviews on loan files to ensure all loans are efficiently and accurately boarded onto the system - including retail, commercial, ag, and mortgage loans.
  • Serve as an internal point of contact for all questions related to document imaging and related processes, including imaging and maintenance of loan files.
  • Communicate with external service providers to update and validate information necessary to service files including but not limited to PMI companies, insurance companies, taxing authorities, etc.
  • Monitors and mitigates loan file risk.
  • Ensures proper insurance information set-up on property, collateral, etc.
  • Work with insurance policies and related reports; contact agents; work closely with loan officers and customers to ensure proper insurance is received and maintained.
  • Review and perform annual escrow analysis on residential real estate loans in a timely, accurate, and professional manner in accordance with related regulations.
  • Be a ready resource to customers and Bank employees regarding issues and questions related to escrow accounts.
  • Issue escrow surplus checks.
  • Partner with the lending staff across all locations to improve accuracies and efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and training to loan assistants.
  • Solicit feedback, make recommendations, and implement changes as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for loan servicing-related questions/issues.
  • Conduct appropriate research as required, recommend solutions and/or refer others to the proper department or resource for additional assistance as needed.
  • Communicates effectively through written or oral correspondence.
