About The Position
Loan Servicing Internship Opportunity with Heritage Financial Credit Union. This 8-week internship will provide hands-on experience in the behind-the-scenes work of loan servicing, ensuring loans are accurate, compliant, and running smoothly. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to follow structured procedures
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service or office experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Organize and manage loan documents and files
- Assist with payments (taxes, insurance) and payoff processing
- Support lien filings, releases, and related tracking
- Help with insurance follow-ups, claims, and research
- Process mail, member requests, and basic communications
- Assist with audits, reporting, and cleanup projects
