About The Position

Mariner Finance is hiring a Loan Sales Associate to provide customer service and sales support at an assigned branch. The role involves identifying customer needs, presenting loan and other product solutions, processing applications, reviewing customer credit and financial information, and helping resolve past-due balances. The associate also maintains a cash drawer and may deliver daily deposits to designated financial institutions. This position is expected to be performed in person at the assigned branch, with scheduled hours that may change based on business needs. Seasonal Saturday hours may be required.

The position requires at least one year of customer service or sales experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, and the ability to obtain any required licenses for selling insurance products offered by the branch. The role includes frequent sitting, computer and phone use, and occasional movement and lifting. Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs and ability to learn financial services programs.
• Ability to complete essential duties and functions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
• Ability to obtain applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered by the branch.

Nice To Haves

• Cash handling, selling, and/or collecting experience.
• Some college coursework.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by proactively solving problems, presenting loan solutions based on customer needs, and presenting available sales products.
• Process credit loan applications.
• Analyze credit and financial information for current and potential customers.
• Contact customers with past-due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
• Meet or exceed individual and branch goals related to sales of company products and services.
• Learn and follow applicable federal, state, and local consumer application laws.
• Maintain a cash drawer, process payments, and deliver daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
• Perform additional functions as needed based on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent customer service.
• Obtain applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
• Perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location, except in a company-determined emergency.
