Loan Originator - Private Real Estate Lender
About The Position
SEP Capital is looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Loan Originator to build a book of business and generate new real estate loan opportunities throughout Florida. This is a hunter role. We want someone who enjoys meeting people, opening doors, developing referral relationships, following up relentlessly, and turning opportunities into closed business. If you understand real estate, know how to build relationships, and are motivated by uncapped earning potential, we can provide the lending platform, training, capital, and flexibility to help you succeed. SEP Capital is a Florida-based, self-funded private lender providing business-purpose real estate loans to investors, developers, and business owners. We lend our own capital and make underwriting decisions in-house. That means our originators have direct access to decision-makers, fast answers, and the ability to structure transactions creatively instead of forcing every deal into a rigid institutional lending box. When title and closing requirements are ready, we can close loans in as little as 24 hours. Our lending programs include bridge, fix & flip, cash-out, cross-collateral, portfolio and blanket, commercial bridge, and other business-purpose real estate loans.
Requirements
- Real estate experience required
- Relevant backgrounds may include real estate sales, investing, wholesaling, fix & flipping, development, acquisitions, commercial real estate, RTL lending, private lending, or similar experience
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions and values
- Comfortable prospecting and developing new business
- Prior loan origination or private lending experience is a plus, but not required
- Existing relationships with investors, brokers, agents, or other real estate professionals are a major advantage

Responsibilities
- Generate new loan opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship development
- Build relationships with real estate investors, agents, brokers, wholesalers, developers, contractors, and other referral partners
- Develop and grow your own book of repeat clients and referral sources
- Identify financing opportunities and work with our team to structure solutions
- Guide clients from initial conversation through closing
- Consistently follow up with prospects, past clients, and referral partners
- Attend investor meetups, real estate events, and strategic networking opportunities
- Maintain an organized pipeline and sales activity in our CRM
- This is not an inbound-lead-only sales position. We provide marketing and lead support, but top performers will create their own opportunities and relationships.
