About The Position

The Loan Origination Specialist III reviews approvals, loan documentation, and due diligence to ensure Small Business loans close in accordance with their approvals and that documentation is prepared to protect the client and the bank. The role serves as a primary liaison between the Business Relationship Manager and Credit Coordinator on collateral, entity, and other commercial due diligence.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience preparing commercial loan, SBA, or mortgage loan documents.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and PC skills.
• Ability to communicate well and work independently in a high-volume, production-oriented environment.
• College degree, paralegal background, or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with collateral and entity due diligence related to commercial loans.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial credit application packages for adherence to credit policy and determine the due diligence needed to establish the proper collateral position.
• Review business entity and organizational documents, including trust agreements, business entity good standing, and UCC searches as required.
• Coordinate obtaining or ordering, and review, equipment valuations and other reports and information.
• Evaluate reports and information related to collateral evaluation and verification to determine whether the credit approval's terms and conditions will be met.
• Prepare loan and compliance documentation necessary to protect the bank's interests.
