About The Position

Factify is building AI agents for regulated enterprises, including US banks and insurers. Its platform turns organizational policies, documents, and real-world practices into an executable rulebook so agent decisions are traceable, auditable, and ratified by process owners. The Domain Expert will serve as Factify’s US banking expert, mapping how critical decisions are made inside US banks, beginning with credit decisions from application intake through final approval. The role identifies divergence between policy and practice and encodes that knowledge into rules that AI agents can execute and that credit committees or examiners can defend. As customer needs evolve, the expert will also map other critical bank processes. This is a remote US role requiring regular overlap with the Tel Aviv team during US Eastern morning hours.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of banking experience at a US bank, credit union, or lender, with deep expertise in credit, underwriting, loan operations, or credit risk.
  • Working knowledge of US banking regulation and supervision, including ECOA/Reg B, fair lending, HMDA, TILA/RESPA, BSA/AML, OCC/FDIC/Fed model risk and credit risk guidance, and CECL.
  • Experience documenting or redesigning bank processes, such as SOPs, BPMN, audit, or model-governance work.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous situations into explicit conditions, thresholds, and exceptions.
  • Availability for regular overlap with the Tel Aviv team during US Eastern morning hours.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with bank leaders, executives, and engineers.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial lending experience.
  • Hands-on experience in a core banking process, such as customer onboarding, KYC, and CDD/EDD; AML transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and SAR filing; payments, cash management, and liquidity operations; fraud detection and dispute handling; collections, debt restructuring, and loan workouts; deposit operations and account servicing; trade finance and commercial banking operations; regulatory reporting and compliance testing; credit risk, model risk, and third-party risk management; complaint handling; or exam readiness.
  • Experience at a fintech, digital lender, or Big 4 financial-services practice.
  • Exposure to decision engines, core banking and loan origination systems, or AI governance.
  • FRM, CFA, CAMS, or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Map end-to-end loan origination flows for consumer, small business, and commercial lending, including intake, KYC/BSA/AML, income and collateral verification, credit analysis, underwriting, approval, and exceptions.
  • Map other critical bank processes as customer needs arise, drawing on practical experience of how those processes operate.
  • Analyze credit policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements; identify conflicts, gaps, and ambiguous thresholds.
  • Define and validate decision rules—including eligibility, DTI/DSCR/LTV limits, covenants, pricing, and escalation criteria—with bank process owners.
  • Build realistic test cases and golden-label datasets (approve / decline / refer) with documented supporting evidence.
  • Review agent decisions against real banking practice and flag errors in the rulebook or agent decisions.
  • Advise product and engineering teams on the needs of US banking teams and potential production issues.
